Liven up your next bee gathering with a rousing round of 2 1/2″ Strip Poker, played with this custom sewing playing card deck.
In this 54-card sewing-themed playing card deck, you’ll find:
- Standard poker-sized playing cards, 63mm x 88mm, 2.48″ x 3.46″
- Matte finish to protect the cards against scratches, with minimal light reflection and smoothness needed for playability.
- 4 suits of scissors, thimbles, buttons, and spools, and 2 sewing machine Jokers
- Face cards with hidden treasures and sewing personas. Can you spot the tailor, quilter, and service technician?
- Cards come in a clear plastic case for easy storage
- Everything you need to have fun with your quilting besties in a quick break between stitching:
- Strip Poker: Use the classic rules of poker, and ante up with your scrap strips of fabric, or go all in with a jelly roll to really sweeten the pot.
- Stitch & Switch (Crazy Eights): Match cards by suit or number to “keep the seam going.” Eights let you switch suits—your choice of a new “fabric.” First player to stitch together all their cards wins.
- 2–5 players; deal 5–7 cards each. Place the remaining deck face down; flip one card to start the discard pile.
- On your turn, play a card matching suit or number.
- Play an 8 to change the suit.
- If you can’t play, draw until you can.
- First to empty their hand wins.
- Bobbin Run (Speed): A rapid-fire race—no turns, just quick hands. Build sequences up or down as fast as you can to shed your cards before your opponent.
- 2 players; each gets 20 cards (hand + draw pile).
- Two center piles start with one card each.
- Players simultaneously play cards one higher or lower than the center cards (e.g., 7 on 6 or 8).
- You can play from your hand only; refill from your pile as needed.
- If neither player can move, flip new center cards.
- First to play all cards wins.
- Seam Ripper Showdown (War, with Jokers): Flip and compare—highest card wins the pile. Ties unravel into a showdown where the stakes stack up fast.
- 2 players; deal entire deck evenly.
- Each player flips top card; higher card takes both.
- Tie = “showdown”: each places 3 cards face down, then flips a fourth. Winner takes all.
- Jokers are highest cards (automatic win).
- Play until one player has all the cards.
